Our Mission:

In response to the global climate and biodiversity emergencies and the call of the Eagle and Condor Prophecy, SAKI promotes a broad dialogue between scientists and holders of ancestral knowledge through the creation of meetings, events, research and scholarship and through support, collaboration and partnership with kin organizations and individuals. SAKI’s further goals are to publicize and disseminate the knowledge emerging from the combined strengths of science and ancestral knowledge and to advocate for concrete actions that will produce better planetary outcomes with full ecological functioning and integrity.

Our Vision:

We envision a world in which the ancestral knowledge of original peoples is interwoven with contemporary industrial cultures and societies.  A world in which science and ancestral knowledge have partnered, have a healing relationship, and mutually inform each other, thereby jointly offering a new holistic understanding of humanity, reality and planet Earth. We envision a world in which people in daily life recognize the intelligence and living beingness of the natural world and live in relationship with the beings of the web of life. We hold evident that the planet and nature are intelligent conscious entities, entitled to protection and legal rights. We envision a future in which this world view is a natural, integral aspect of all human cultures and a covenant with the natural world actualized in policies and bodies of law at all levels.
